Lancang River rises from Guozhongmucha snow mountain [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] in Zhaduo county, the altitude of the sources is 5388 metres, Lancang River is called Zhaqu in Qinghai, its meaning in Tibetan is “flowing river with sands in the mountain”, the length of trunk river is 448 metres, it goes into Tibet at Nangla,it outside of Yunnan is called Meigong River, it is a international river.
